The Foundation has approved a $15,000 donation to local food pantries in its five-county service area of northeast Wyoming. This additional funding will help position our local food pantries to meet the potential increase in food needs among individuals and families affected by the 2025 federal government shutdown. The funding is intended to assist food pantries that may encounter additional requests for assistance from federal employees who have been furloughed, or federal food program enrollees who had benefits temporarily halted on November 1.
The funds will be distributed among the pantries who already receive regular assistance from the Foundation through cash or meat donations.
