Mission Statement and Vision
The Mission of the Powder River Energy Foundation (PRECorp Foundation) is to demonstrate our commitment to people and non-profit or charitable organizations in northeast Wyoming by lending a helping hand that will improve their quality of life or serve their community.
Our Vision: By 2023, the PRECorp Foundation will demonstrate its ability to reliably drive $250,000 or more annually toward local charitable needs and be in the top most recognized Foundations in northeast Wyoming while maximizing impact and involvement of its member/owners.
The specific mission of the Foundation is to focus on the charitable needs of the citizens and communities in the PRECorp service territory, and more specifically, the member/owners that we serve. The Foundation is governed by an independent, volunteer board of Directors who represent each of PRECorp’s five counties served. These Board representatives are members of the community, just like you, and work hard to help the Foundation make a difference in the lives of those in need. Since its inception in 2007, the Foundation has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars back into communities in northeast Wyoming. These dollars have supported areas such as feeding the hungry; assisting with the needs of local veterans; families in crisis, workforce development, and education; senior citizens; community betterment projects; and much more.
Our Strategy
Our strategy emphasizes our traditional values of integrity, accountability, commitment to community, compassion, and timely response.

There are four primary perspectives related to the Strategy Map: Member Perspective; Financial Perspective; Process Perspective; and Team and Technology Perspective. Our Values and Principles guide these perspectives, while the Foundation’s Mission and Vision provide the momentum to accomplish specific attributes of these perspectives.
One hundred percent of all donations to the Foundation benefit nonprofit organizations in the PRECorp five-county service area. These donations are leveraged with other donations where possible, to provide the greatest impact and connect with those who care about causes that matter in their communities. Whether the funds are generated through events such as the annual Buffalo Stampede 5k/10k Walk/Run, or member participation in the Operation RoundUp® program, direct donations, the donation of a member’s capital credits, or estate giving; members who give to the Foundation can be assured their donations will have maximum impact.
The Foundation has a highly skilled staff comprising of PRECorp employees with two things in common:
• A passionate belief in the community and in the power of local people to achieve a brighter future
• A commitment to personally provide administrative support and guidance to the PRECorp Foundation Board of Directors
