Mission Statement and Vision
The mission of the Powder River Energy Foundation is to demonstrate our commitment to individuals and non-profit or charitable organizations in Northeast Wyoming by lending a helping hand that will improve their quality of life or serve their community.
Our vision: By 2018 the PRECorp Foundation will drive $250,000 annually toward local charitable needs and be in the top three most recognized foundations in the region while maximizing impact and involvement of its member owners.
The specific mission of the Foundation is to focus on the charitable needs of the citizens and communities in our service territory, and more specifically, the member/owners that we serve. Today, the Foundation is governed by an independent, voluntary board of Directors who represent each county the PRECorp service area. These board members are just like you, members of the community and they completely volunteer their time and many hours to support the foundation and their communities. Since its inception the Foundation has donated thousands of dollars back into communities in northeast Wyoming. These dollars have supported areas such as child development and education, child abuse centers, cancer research, hospices, community centers, and much more.
Our strategy emphasizes our traditional values of integrity, accountability, commitment to community, compassion, and timely response.

There are four primary perspectives related to the strategy map. These are the Member Perspective, Financial Perspective, Process Perspective, and Team and Technology Perspective. Our Values and Principles guide these perspectives, while the Foundation’s Mission and Vision provide the momentum to accomplish specific attributes of these perspectives.
One hundred percent of all donations to the Foundation go to nonprofit organizations locally and in addition, the Foundation assists PRECorp members by reviewing applicant criteria and handling administration, so a member can give through the Operation RoundUp® program and know their small donation can have the biggest impact while also connecting members who care with causes that matter in their communities.
The Foundation has a highly skilled staff comprising of PRECorp employees with two things in common:
• A passionate belief in the community and in the power of local people to achieve a brighter future
• A commitment to personally serve our donors and organizations and provide administrative support and guidance to the PRECorp Foundation Board of Directors
